Biography
Born in Kharkov. The first trainers of Anna were Vladimir Karpov and Galina Melnikova. In 1979, she moved to Leningrad and began to train in the group of spouses Alexei and Tatyana Mishinyh (choreography was performed by Leningrad ballet dancers Nikolai Tagunov, Vladimir Sivak), representing the Zenit club ( Leningrad Region , later SKA ). The first successes came in 1981 , when she became third at the World Junior Championships and fifth at the USSR Championship . In 1982-84, she was consistently among the winners of the USSR championships and competitions for the USSR Cup, including won the free program at the 1982 national championships. Took 2nd place at the Winter Spartakiad of the peoples of the USSR in Krasnoyarsk . After 10th place at the USSR Championship in January 1986, she completed her career.
Antonova was notable for her ballet riding style. She is one of the first 3-4 skaters in the world to perform pirouette "bilmann" . The triple jumps of the figure skater were unstable, which was the reason for the low results at international competitions.
As of 2017, Antonova works as a trainer at the Evry club SCA2000 ( France ) [2] .
