Content
History
The church building was rebuilt from the private residence of P. B. Sheremetev according to the design of the architect Giacomo Quarenghi in 1814-1815 . In 1877-1878 was rebuilt for the second time by the project of FK Boltenhagen. From 1723 to 1919, it was occupied by the community of the Church of England in St. Petersburg / Petrograd [1] .
The church was closed in 1919. In the years 1970-1999 in the building of the church there was a city excursion bureau. The temple interior (including the only nineteenth century English romantic organ in Russia) is well preserved [1] .
The building in 2017 is transferred to the Music Hall .
