History
The company was founded in 1876 by Gustav Paulig, who came to Finland from German Lübeck . At first, the company was importing into Finland and selling colonial goods and groceries: coffee, spices, port , cognac , salt, flour, etc. Since 1904, the company began to roast coffee in a special warehouse in Helsinki.
