Alexey Vladimirovich Borodin (born June 6, 1941 , Qingdao , Republic of China ) is a Soviet and Russian theater director, theater teacher, professor, artistic director of the Russian Academic Youth Theater . People's Artist of the RSFSR ( 1987 ) [1] [2] . Laureate of the State Prize of the RSFSR named after K. S. Stanislavsky ( 1985 ) and Prize of the President of the Russian Federation ( 2016 ).

Biography
Alexey Borodin was born on June 6, 1941 in Qingdao [1] .
In 1968 he graduated from GITIS [3] , the course of Yu. A. Zavadsky and I. S. Anisimova-Wulf [1] .
From 1973 to 1980 he was the main director of the Kirov Youth Theater . Since 1980, he is the main director, and since 1992, the artistic director of the Russian Academic Youth Theater [1] .
Since 1971 he has been teaching at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts . Among his students, E. N. Redko , V. O. Chuprikov , T. E. Veselkina , Ch. N. Khamatova , M. S. Politsimako , A. N. Vasiliev , E. A. Galibina , T. V. Matyukhova , N.A. Roshchin , N.V. Uvarova , I.N. Volkov , I. Ya. Nizina , E.V. Shamova .
