" Pioneer truth "
The pioneer military-sports game in the USSR was an imitation of hostilities, similar to military exercises. During the game, the pioneers were divided into teams and competed in various military-applied sports with game elements. The game was part of the basic military training system for schoolchildren in the USSR.
The first rules of the game were developed by Zoya Krotova [1] from the village of Mysy, Krasnokamsky District of the Perm Region [2] [3] [4] who developed the teacher (according to the version of the former Pioneer Pravda correspondent Vladimir Mashatin). February 23, 1964 was held the first game together with the military [2] [3] [4] .
Officially, the military-sports game "Zarnitsa" was organized in the USSR in 1967 . The goal of the game was the military-patriotic education of Soviet youth. "Zarnitsa" was included in the plan for organizing basic military training in secondary schools in connection with the reduction of military service from 3 to 2 years.
On January 10, 1967, Pionerskaya Pravda published Order No. 1 of the first commander of the game, Hero of the Soviet Union , Marshal of Artillery Vasily Ivanovich Kazakov .
With his order, the marshal set the task to create the battalions of the Junior Corps, to teach the youth the skills of army life, and also to educate them in the spirit of love for the Motherland and readiness to resist any enemies.
In the same 1967, the first final of the All-Union game “Zarnitsa” was held, which was held in Sevastopol , on the famous Sapun Hill .
The game "Zarnitsa" was attended by students of 4-7 classes, who rested in the pioneer camps. Older teenagers played the similar military-sports game “ Orlyonok ”. The goal of the games depended on the age of the players, and the conditions ranged from a simple tearing of paper epaulets from the players of the other team to real military exercises involving armored vehicles, smoke bombs and explosive packs.
Often the game "Zarnitsa" took place on the territory of military units, and then the game plan was drawn up with the participation of regular military personnel.
Usually the players playing in “Zarnitsa” were divided into two teams, the referee and several neutral observers. Then, while the teams develop tactics, the arbiter determines the location of the bases of both camps of the opponents; The base label is some rather noticeable object, for example, a flag. The goal of both teams is to capture the enemy flag. Each of the participants has an indicator of life / health - epaulets: each person is glued on or sewn on two epaulettes on his shoulders; the captain has four of them. In order to "kill" a person, it is necessary to tear off his shoulder straps; if only half is torn off, then the person cannot run and just walks. Most often, the winner was determined by the amount of points he earned: for capturing flags and destroying opponents, points are awarded, for dishonest play they decrease. Sometimes the winner was considered the first, who got the flag of the enemy.
The analogue of "Zarnitsa", conducted for high school students, was the military-sports game " Orlyonok ".
