Biography
Kondratiev Vasily Emelyanovich was born in the village of Iudino, Sergievsky district, Moscow province. Former homeowner, worked as a handyman, locksmith, engaged in trade. In the 20s - early 30s. lived in the city of Sergiev Posad .
From 1925 to 1935 he was a headman in the Kukuyev All-Holy Church, where the Monk Martyr Mauritius (Poletaev) served.
October 21, 1935 arrested, imprisoned in Butyrka prison. On January 08, 1936, he was convicted in the group case “The Clergy and Clergy, headed by Archimandrite Mauritius . Zagorsk. 1936. " In addition, he was accused of spreading rumors about the war and the inevitable death of Soviet power, arguing that under the tsar the Russian people lived freer and better. Vasily Emelyanovich pleaded not guilty. Atheist power Vasily was sent to Karlag (Kazakhstan, Karaganda). Sentenced to 3 years of correctional labor, he was serving his sentence in the Karaganda ITL, he worked as a carriage driver. Canonization
He has been counted among the holy New Martyrs and Confessors of Russia for general church veneration by the Anniversary Bishops' Council of the Russian Orthodox Church, which took place on August 13-16, 2000 in Moscow. Represented by the Almaty Diocese.
