Skvortsov Anatoly Alekseevich was born (January 29 (p.). 1883 in N. Novgorod.
1895 - 1902 - study at the Nizhny Novgorod gymnasium.
In 1902 - 1909, student of the Natural Department of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Imperial Moscow University. At the University he was engaged mainly in biological sciences; he worked in zoology with professors G. A. Kozhevnikov and M. A. Menzbir, and in botany with professors M. I. Golenkin and F. N. Krasheninnikov. He took part in organizing the first student society of natural scientists, whose board member was and was in charge of the faculty library, having read almost all books in it.
After graduating from the University, A. A. Skvortsov was engaged in pedagogical activity, was a teacher in secondary schools in Nizhny Novgorod: from September 9, 1909, he was a teacher of natural sciences, physics and geography of the Vetluzhsky Gymnasium, from October 9, 1910, a teacher of natural sciences in a private real school of Milov, since July 1, 1914 - a full-time teacher of geography, natural history and physics of the Nizhny Novgorod Noble Institute of Emperor Alexander II.
On the basis of the Highest Command, which followed on February 21, 1913, A. A. Skvortsov was granted the right to wear on his chest the “Highly established, in memory of the 300th anniversary of the reign of the Romanov dynasty, light bronze medal”.
During the teaching service, Anatoly Alekseevich received business trips: 1) in 1910 to the Congress of Naturalists and Doctors in Moscow, 2) in 1912 to Tiflis, and 3) in 1915 to the Geographical Congress in Moscow.
A. A. Skvortsov collaborated with the Natural History Museum of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Zemstvo, took part in organizing a circle of employees at the named museum, whose chairman was.

In 1920, Anatoly Alekseevich was elected associate professor of the Nizhny Novgorod Pedagogical Institute in the Department of Zoology. At the pedagogical institute, he taught courses on invertebrate zoology, evolutionary theory and natural science methods at the biological department, a biology course at the mathematical and socio-economic departments, and also headed the zoological office and the biological museum.
Since 1926, after the merger of the pedagogical institute with the Nizhny Novgorod State University, A. A. Skvortsov was an assistant professor at the pedagogical department, where he taught courses "Fundamentals of Evolutionary Theory" for all departments of the faculty, a course in zoology techniques and supervised the pedagogical practice of students of the biological department of the pedagogical department.
In 1919, on behalf of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Department of Education, he organized a biological museum. Until 1930, A. A. Skvortsov was the head of this museum.
In addition, in 1921-22 he was the head of the Nizhny Novgorod Provincial Committee for Museum Affairs (Gubmuzey) on behalf of the Glavmuzey Narcompros.
He was also listed as a researcher (zoologist) in the Nizhny Novgorod Museum of Natural History and History.
Anatoly Alekseevich Skvortsov began his scientific work under the guidance of Professor D. F. Sinitsyn in the field of helminthology, then (after Dmitry Fedorovich left abroad) he worked in this area under the direction of Professor K. I. Skryabin , was a member of the Permanent Commission for the Study of Helminth Fauna of the USSR located at the Zoological Museum of the Union Academy of Sciences.
In the summer of 1927, he took part in the 41th All-Union Helminthological Expedition in the Nizhny Novgorod Territory, which worked under the leadership of K. I. Skryabin.
