Career

Marco Villaseka started his career at Audax Italiano . After one year, he joined the Kolo-Kolo Club. For “Kolo-Kolo”, Villasek spent 5 years, twice became the champion of Chile , reached the semi-finals of the Libertadores Cup , and also began to play for the national team . In February 1999, Villasek became the instigator of the fight between the players “Kolo-Kolo” and “ Universidad de Chile ”, for which he was prosecuted [2] . On December 31, 2001, the Villaseki contract ended, but the midfielder did not dare to renew it due to the club’s non-payment of wages to the player from October to December, as well as a premium of $ 15,000. With regard to this money, Villaseka even went to court [2] . After leaving the completion of the contract Villaseki, negotiations with the midfielder led the club " Universidad Catholic ", but the club could not pay the amount of 450 thousand dollars [3] , which "Universidad" had to pay the Argentine Estudiantes , who owned 25% of the rights to a football player [ 2] .

In February 2002, Villasek moved to the Spartak Moscow club, which paid $ 1.5 million for the Chilean transfer [4] . As part of Spartak Villasek was planned to take the place of Viktor Bulatov , who left the team [5] . He was declared a club for the championship of Russia , but before the start of the tournament he left the team. The footballer himself said that the reason for leaving was his wife’s unwillingness to let her husband go to Russia [6] : “My wife categorically did not want to move to Russia, and my family was above all. I liked Spartak very much, the organization of the business in this club, but I cannot live in a foreign country without my own people ” [7] . According to another version, the departure from “Spartacus” was connected with the villagers’s dissatisfaction with the club’s attitude towards foreign players, in particular, he was not met at the airport, the Chilean was not provided with an interpreter, and his wishes for living and living were ignored [4] , he was dissatisfied with the location of the base, which is not within the city [8] .

From “Spartacus”, Villasek tried to get a job in the club “ Yaguares de Chiapas ”, but failed, and then he moved to the “ Union Espanola ”. From there, Villaseka moved to the “Colo-Colo”. In 2004, Villasek came to Russia for the second time. He moved to the club " Rostov ", who paid 300 thousand euros for the transfer of the midfielder. For “Rostov” Villaseka made his debut on March 13, 2004 in the first round of the Russian championship with the club “ Torpedo ”, in which “Rostov” lost 0: 4. After that, Villaseka spent 6 matches for the basis of the team and scored 1 goal, on April 10, at the 31st minute in the championship match with Torpedo-Metallurg , which ended in a 2-2 draw [9] . However, then Villaseca lost his place in the line-up and played only for the backup part of Rostov, having spent 14 matches and scoring 1 goal. In late January 2005, Villasek, who had long wished to play at home because of a lack of match practice in Russia [10] , returned to Chile, signing a contract with the Concepcion club. He made his debut in the team in a match with the club "Universidad Catholic", in which "Concepción" won 1: 0 [11] . Then Villasecca played for Santiago Morning and again for Concepcion. From June 2008 to 2010, Villasek played for the Rangers (Talca) club, being the team captain.

International Career

For the Chilean national team, Villaseka spent 24 matches and scored 2 goals [12] . In several matches, he led the national team to the field with a captain's armband [8] . He participated in the 2001 America's Cup and qualifying matches for the 2002 World Cup , but then he stopped volunteering for the national team due to frequent changes in the coaching staff of the national team [8] . In the America's Cup, Villaseca spent 4 matches, with Ecuador all 90 minutes (Chile victory 4: 1), with Venezuela all 90 minutes (Chile victory 1: 0), Colombia all 90 minutes (defeat Chile 0: 2) and quarterfinal with Mexico , where Villaseca was removed (defeat Chile 0: 2) [13] . In qualifying for the World Cup 6 matches, with Uruguay, all 90 minutes (defeat Chile 1: 2) [14] , with Brazil , replaced because of injury in the 13th minute [5] [15] (victory Chile 3: 0) , with Paraguay all 90 minutes (defeat Chile 0: 1), with Bolivia all 90 minutes (2-2 draw), with Brazil all 90 minutes (defeat Chile 0: 2) and with Colombia all 90 minutes (defeat Chile 1: 3 ).
