Imram ( dr.- imm . Immram , from imb- , imm- 'around' and -rá (id) 'row') is one of the genres of Irish legends , which tells about the hero’s sea voyage to the Otherworld. Written in the era of the spread of Christianity, immramas retain many of the features of traditional Celtic mythology .
An example of an imram is “Travels of Saint Brendan ”, where a real person was described in a fantastic form (meeting a giant, a sea monster, a fiery island, etc.).
