Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society . It is the oldest scientific journal of the English-speaking world and the second in history after the French Journal de Sawan . The journal has been published since March 6, 1665 without interruptions, which makes it the oldest continuously published scientific journal in the world. The word "philosophical" in the name means natural philosophy , which at that time was called the natural sciences .
