Origin of title

Previously called Novovasilevsky lane on a nearby street Vasilyevskaya . Renamed in 1963 in honor of the Czech writer and public figure Julius Fucik (1903-1943), who was executed for antifascist activities. While in custody, he wrote the book "Reporting with a noose around his neck . "

The street starts from Krasin Street , runs northeast parallel to Vasilyevskaya Street (left) and Gashek Street (right), crosses 2nd and 1st Brest streets and ends at 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya Street opposite 2nd Tverskoy- Yamsky Lane .
