History
- 1990 - foundation of the lyceum.
- 1994 - The Cultural Initiative Foundation (Soros Foundation) included the lyceum in the list of one hundred innovative schools of Russia, in the same year the lyceum was admitted to the Russian Association of Innovative Schools and Training Centers.
- 1995 - the lyceum became a laureate of the Festival of Innovative Projects and Programs "Education - a Contribution to the Future".
- 1996 - the lyceum became a laureate of the Festival "Author's School" Eureka - 96 ".
- 1997 - the lyceum was given the status of “Federal Experimental Site of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation ”, which has been confirmed annually.
- 1999 - The Lyceum became a collective member of the Youth Association of Finno-Ugric Peoples.
- 2001 - The Humanitarian Lyceum developed a project of the Innovation Center for Continuing Education of Teachers and Education Leaders.
- 2002 - The Humanitarian Lyceum developed the educational program of the School of Advanced Educational Models “School of Individual Education”.
- 2004 - the project of the Humanitarian Lyceum “Open Finno-Ugric University (summer session)” became the finalist of the All-Russian contest of innovative ideas, concepts, projects, programs and technologies. The Humanitarian Lyceum held the strategic game “Humanitarian Perspectives of the City: Principles of Educational and Personnel Policy”, the project of which won the Nizhny Novgorod 2003 Competition for Social and Cultural Projects.
- 2005 - The Humanitarian Lyceum became a finalist of the All-Russian contest "Best Schools of Developing Education - 2005" in the framework of the Russian educational forum "School 2005" [1] .
- 2006 - the lyceum won the competition of schools introducing innovative teaching methods in the framework of the Priority national project "Education" .
- 2009 - Humanitarian Lyceum received the status of " autonomous institution " [2] .
- 2011 - the lyceum received the status of “Federal Innovation Site of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation”.
Educational process
Humanitarian Lyceum - an autonomous municipal educational institution with the rights of a legal entity, independently carrying out economic activities. The highest governing body in the Humanitarian Lyceum is the Lyceum Council, consisting of teachers, parents and students.
Students are admitted in grades 1, 5, 8, 9, and 10. Education up to and including grade 7 is conducted as part of a five-day school week, from the eighth grade as part of a six-day school week.
The Humanitarian Lyceum is tasked with the development and implementation of a high school model, the basis of which will be the individual educational program of the student. The main educational program of the lyceum is the School of Individual Education. Under the program, students are given the opportunity to independently choose specialized courses and electives, teachers, forms of training; participation in projects, seminars, competitions and conferences of all levels up to the federal; training practices, educational sessions, expeditions, internships, individual work with tutors and consultants. The elements of the educational process of the Humanitarian Lyceum are tutoring, research and design method (design and research in grades 9-10), TRIZ , business and organizational-activity games, internship pre-professional practice. At the All-Russian competition "The Best Schools of Developing Education - 2005", teachers of the lyceum presented a number of innovative developments: psychological training, technology of tutoring activities, the author's project "Educational cartography" [1] . According to the director of the lyceum, the modern school should stop teaching "in the traditional sense of the word." The task of the school, in his opinion, is to help the student in designing his own education, developing professional and social prospects. As a result, the school should become a “flight control center” [3] .
Foreign language, literature, history and social studies, mathematics, geography, design, economics and entrepreneurship are taught in the lyceum as part of the programs of profile training.
The Humanitarian Lyceum is in partnership with, among others, the Udmurt State University , the Eureka Institute for Educational Policy Problems (Moscow), the International Association for Developing Education, the Relod Examination and Methodological Council (Moscow), the Interregional Tutoring Association, and the American Councils Educational Affairs (USA), Student Society of the University of Helsinki (Finland), a number of Finnish and Estonian cultural foundations. Since 2006, students of the Lyceum have been participating in the Council of Europe research project “Twin Cities” and the international project “European House”. So in 2006, students of the Lyceum took part in the presentation of the Society of Udmurt-Wales Friendship [4] .
Teaching staff
In the 2010/11 academic year, 33 teachers (including the administration) constantly worked at the lyceum. Another 13 people combined work in the Lyceum with another job. Six teachers of the lyceum are winners of the teacher contest in the framework of the Priority National Project “Education” , five are awarded the title “Excellent Student of Public Education”, ten are awarded the title “Honorary Worker of General Education of the Russian Federation”.
The director of the lyceum is Mikhail Petrovich Cheremnykh, candidate of pedagogical sciences , vice-president of the Interregional Tutoring Association, an expert at the National Training Foundation [5] , also known as the author-performer [6] .
Also, the candidate of pedagogical sciences is Tatyana Germanovna Sannikova, deputy director for educational work [7] ; Sannikova’s PhD thesis is based on material collected in 1994-1997 at the Humanitarian Lyceum [8] .
Technology teacher Zoya Lebedeva is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia, her work in such genres of applied art as “flat textiles”, weaving , etc. were exhibited in Moscow, St. Petersburg, France, Sweden and Finland [9] [10] .
English teacher Tatyana Plekhova became the winner of the Russian-American Teacher-to-Teacher Professional Education Program (3TP), funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Programs of the US Department of State , conducted by the American Councils for International Education ( ACPRYAL / ACCELS) and supported by the Federal Agency for Education , The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation , Teachers' Newspaper and local departments of education. As a finalist of the contest, Tatyana Plekhova trained in March - April 2006. at a school and university in Alabama [11] .

Lyceum students regularly take part in the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren. For example, students of the Humanitarian Lyceum won four prizes (1 - winner, 3 - prize-winners) at the republican stage of the 2013 Olympics for schoolchildren. Some of them went to the last (final) stage of the Olympiad.

Interesting Facts
In 1995, the poet and bard Julius Kim dedicated a poem to the Humanitarian Lyceum [12] .
