History
In the 7th — 8th centuries, buzhans ( dulebs ) lived in this area, surrounded from the north — Drevlyans and glades ; from the west — white Croats , Volhynians , and the Avar Khaganate — Avars ( obr ); from the east - streets , and from the south - Tivertsy . It is possible that these Slavic peoples closely intersected and did not have strict boundaries of residence.
At the beginning of the XIII century, the entire surrounding area was burnt out by the Tatar-Mongols together with a part of the population.
Population
The population of the 2001 census is 361 people.
