Content

History

The founder of the village of Stodulcy was pan Stodulsky. It was formerly famous for its graceful architecture by the church of St. John the Theologian (1886), in which there was an ancient icon of the Mother of God. Interestingly, the bell tower and the iconostasis were taken from an older church. There was also a parish school in the village, which was opened in 1864. At the initiative of the then owner of the settlement, the landowner Shelekhovsky. Peasants mainly engaged in agriculture, but indirectly worked in sugar factories, drove and beat limestone stones. Some are beekeeping and weaving.

Veniamin (Zaritsky) , Metropolitan of Ryazan and Mikhailovsky, was born in Stodulcy.

Religion

In the village there is a church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Evangelist Zhmerinsky deanery of the Vinnitsa diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church [1] .
