Sports career

Ivan's sports passion for martial arts began in his youth, somewhere in 1979 - 81. In those years, his own older brother was already seriously mastering and engaged in the Kekushin karate system. At the same time, in those years, Ivan actively trained playing in the team of Water Polo "Moskvich", with AZLK [9] . I gave this sport 11 years. He performed at youth and junior competitions at various levels, from the Moscow Championships to the USSR Championship. He was a champion and a repeated winner. Received the title of Candidate for the Master of Sports of the USSR.

Karate was more a hobby for him at that time than a professional occupation. While practicing Waterpolo, he studied kyokushin karate base with great interest, then it was probably the only serious, contact and athletic karate in the Union. Everything else was just sports not contact types, Wushu gymnastics.

Retiring in the army, he still could not assume that after the service, his youthful passion would develop into a serious goal and embark on the path of Budo, from which he will never leave now. The reduction of CSKA athletes in the Navy in 1988 and his meniscus injury after the army forced him to discontinue Waterpolo. Although he had good prospects and suggestions later. Nevertheless, it was not in vain that he was twice recognized as the best goalkeeper of Moscow in those years.

But he simply could not live without sports and physical activity. There was a certain dependence, and then he came to the rescue, and the youthful passion for karate came. The lifting of the ban and the opening of federations coincided with the return from the army and without even healing his knee to the end without hesitation he began to look for a hall and a good instructor. And fortune smiled at him. The first professional instructors were excellent and excellent specialists in the Kyokushin karate area, widely known both now and then. This is Yuri Pavlovich Khrenov and Mikhail Anatolyevich Tkach. These people formed Ivan both a Fighter and a future instructor. After six months of training under the guidance of these people, Ivan was able to fight in competitions, and quite serious ones. Of course, the basic preparation for the army affected, he was already quite coordinated, possessing as a former goalkeeper an excellent reaction and a sense of the situation. Since 1990, he worked hard on himself, regularly speaking at tournaments. It got to the point that during the year he fought in 11-12 tournaments and championships, was lucky to participate even in the Second USSR Cup in Kekushinkai in Moscow and the USSR Championship in Samara .

But with the system Asihara-karate, Ivan Tkach helped to get to know more. In 1991, he was invited to the first open workshop of David Cook, who is one of the most famous masters in the world of Budo, and who became a pioneer in the development of Asihara Karate not only in Russia but also in Europe as a whole.

After two years of hard training, karate Ivan already had a degree of 5 kyu. But the seminar with Cook turned upside down the idea of the karate that Ivan had been doing before. After that, Ivan began to move on to the study of a new unknown technique, trying not to lose touch with Kyokushin. Participation in the competitions of both schools required Ivan to conduct a significant number of tournaments per year.

Over time, the Asihara-karate system began to absorb Ivan more and more, and he practically ceased to advance in Kekushin karate. The last technical exam in Kyokushin was certification on 3 Kyu, after which he lost all interest in studying Kata and the entire Kyokushin karate program. Although much later was assigned 4 Dan Kekushin Budokai Yon Blooming . But at that time Ivan already had 5 Dan according to Asihara International, and it was rather just a sign of attention from Kantyo Blooming, who for Ivan is still just a good friend and great Master - Guru . Ivan has worked for more than 10 years in the European organization Asihara-karate and the organization Asihara International Karate under the leadership of David Cook and has been an official representative of this school since 1995.

But further fate and cooperation with Soke David Cook gave an even more advanced Martial Arts system - this is the mixed Comprehensive Combat System Tsu Sin Geng.

This is the best thing that I had to strive for again, and since 2002 Ivan has completely switched to studying this new system, starting the development of this school already in several Moscow dojos and finding like-minded people in regional clubs.
