DescriptionVery small beetles usually with an elongated or sometimes broadly oval, rather flattened body. The upper body is naked or covered with subtle hairs. Puncture and sculpture are quite variable.
PaleontologyWater broods are among the oldest water bugs, their earliest finds come from deposits of the lower Jurassic of Russia [1] .
