Oktyabrsky District (Saratov)

The Oktyabrsky district is one of the six districts of Saratov , the fourth most populated district (after Leninsky , Zavodsky and Kirovsky ) of the city. An important industrial, transport, scientific and social area of ​​the city.

Area Geography

Oktyabrsky district is located in the central part of the city. Its northern border runs along the streets of Radishchev , Sacco and Vanzetti , Mirny Lane , the streets of Sovetskaya , Rakhov , Shelkovichnaya , the territory of the Saratov-2 station, Stepan Razin , Vokzalnaya and Novouzenskaya . In the south - 4th Silikatnaya, 6th line, Syzranskaya, Dalnaya, Polytechnic and Bolshaya Sadovaya streets. From the east, the area is bounded by the Volga, from the west by Kumysnaya Polyana .

The territory of the district is 2389 ha. The population of the district is 125.0 thousand people [2] .

The Oktyabrsky district includes the following villages: Agafonovka , Bolshaya Kumysnaya Polyana, Klinichesky, Malaya Kumysnaya Polyana, Pervomaisky.

History

On March 25, 1917, the Zheleznodorozhny District was formed, which on March 2, 1920 was renamed the First District. December 15, 1934 The first district was renamed the Oktyabrsky district.

Oktyabrsky district is a socially oriented territory of the city. Here is the majority of city medical institutions, such as Clinical Hospital No. 3 of SSMU , Regional Clinical Hospital, Regional Children's Hospital, MMU “2nd City Clinical Hospital named after V.I.
