Altai honey is one of the two most well-known regional brands of honey in Russia (along with Bashkir ). Produced in the Altai Territory and the Altai Republic .
Characteristic features of natural Altai honey were formed due to the climate of the region, as well as the old traditions of bortnicking, which have been preserved since ancient times. Of the 14 beekeeping farms that existed in the Altai Territory during the Soviet era , only four remained in the XXI century . And only one of them has the status of a breeding reproducer (obtained in September 2009 ).

Altai honey is annually presented at “honey fairs” throughout Russia, including in Moscow (winter in the Manezh and autumn in Tsaritsyno ).
