Biography

Poland began playing on the stage since the time of school - in the band Welkin , playing jazz / fusion . Having moved to Los Angeles in 1977 , he becomes the guitarist of the New Yorkers band, in which he played until 1982 . In addition to him, the roster included: Robertino Pagliari ( bass ), Gar Samuelson ( drums ), Stu Samuelson ( guitar ) and Don Roper ( saxophone ). The New Yorkers achieved some fame on the Los Angeles stage, but Poland gained the greatest fame by playing in the thrash metal band Megadeth from 1984 to 1987 .

Chris recorded two albums with Megadeth: Killing Is My Business ... and Business Is Good! , Peace Sells ... but Who's Buying? , but was fired after a show in Hawaii (along with drummer Gar Samuelson) on suspicion of selling the group’s equipment to buy heroin . After that, Poland and Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine disliked each other and did not communicate. Dave even wrote the song Liar (Liar), addressed to him. However, in demos for Rust in Peace, Chris was listed as a member. But it was a surprise for all the fans when Mustaine invited Chris to record additional guitar solos for The System Has Failed in 2004 . The feud between the musicians ended and the name Polanda appeared in the list of session participants in the recording of the album.

Chris also recorded a solo in the song of the band Lamb of God Purified in the album As the Palaces Burn

After leaving the band, Poland successfully recovered from drug addiction and joined the punk rock legend Circle Jerks as a bass player .

The musician's tendons of the index finger of his left hand were torn, which developed extraordinary flexibility and the ability to reach farther frets of the guitar than with a healthy hand . His game is inspired by styles such as jazz, blues, fusion.

Chris recorded his solo album Return to Metalopolis in 1990 .

His current project is called Ohm , where he enters as a guitarist along with bassist Robertino Pagliari and drummer Kofi Baker .
