It has a thickening at the base of the trunk. Equally well suited for both bonsai formation and as a caudex plant. It requires warm maintenance all year round. Lighting is bright. Watering is moderate without waterlogging earthen coma. The mixture for planting is sandy. You can use ready-made soil for palm trees.
Propagated by seeds, which are soaked for 8-12 hours (it is possible with the use of growth stimulants), and sown in a sandy, moderately moistened mixture. Germinate in a greenhouse with lower heating and bright lighting.
