Little is known about the life of this saint. Florin may have been the son of an Anglo-Saxon and Jewish woman . Returning from Rome , which he visited for pilgrimage, [2] Florin settled in the town of Matsch in the Val Venosta Valley. He received his education from a priest in one of the cities of Engadin , where later he himself was ordained. [2] He later worked as a priest in the settlement of Ramos . [2]

The miracles prescribed to him include the conversion of water into wine. He became the most popular among the people after death, since various miracles began to be performed on his grave and in the parish church of Ramos . [3]

His relics were distributed in many cities, including Florinsky in Koblenz ( 950 ) and Regensburg [3] . The Vaduz Cathedral and the parish church of the village of Mats are dedicated to him. Florin is also depicted in the stained glass windows of the cathedral of the city of Chur [3] , whose patron he was until the middle of the 20th century.
