Exterior
Noble, expressive head, strong back, clearly protruding joints, including knee joints, strong and hard croup. Hind legs well developed. Growth - up to 148 centimeters. Color - any, except piebald and tiger.
The movement of the pony is uniform and elastic, with vigorous shocks of the hind legs without excessive squatting on the front legs.
White stains on the head and legs are undesirable for producing stallions.
Interior
New Forest ponies are very soft and calm when in contact with a person. Have a balanced character, unpretentious in choosing food; smart, brave and capable of learning.

History
New Forest Ponies come from a forest region near Southampton . Here and in our time, several thousand ponies graze in semi-wild herds.
