Epert of Far was an ancient Greek political figure who held the position of strategist of the Achaean Union in 218-217 BC. e. According to Plutarch , Promacedonian Epert was elected a strategist at the insistence of Philip V (the machinations of his adviser Apella) instead of Timoxen , nominated by Arath .
Due to his lack of talent, Epert was not so respected that his orders were not executed either by Achaeans or mercenary detachments, which created difficulties for the Achaean alliance during the war with the Aetolians and for Arath, who became a strategist the following year.
