History
The commemorative medal of the second national resistance was established on October 26, 1946 with the aim of encouraging Czechoslovak partisans who fought abroad and entered into an active battle with the invaders.
Awarding was made by the Minister of the Interior.
In addition to the medal, a diploma was awarded.
The award could only be awarded once, or posthumously.
Description
The medal is made of bronze .
Obverse of the medal: a female head in profile, crowned with a wreath of linden branches . Below the circumference there is an inscription: "ZA VÉRNOST 1939-1945 . "
Reverse: inscription in four lines: “NA PAMĚŤ DRUHÉHO NARODNÍHO ODBOJE” , under it there is a laurel branch .
A medal with a metal ring is suspended from a ribbon.
The ribbon is a moire white medal with two red stripes in the middle, thin red stripes at the edges.
For everyday wear there is a strap covered with sash.
