Biography

Frunze Dovlatyan was born on May 26, 1927 (according to other sources - May 27 [2] ) in Novo Bayazet (now Gavar , Armenia ).

In 1941 - 1952 - actor of the Azizbekov District Drama Theater and the Armenian Drama Theater. G. Sundukyan in Yerevan. Since 1943 , starred in the movie.

In 1947 he graduated from the theater studio at the Armenian Drama Theater. G. Sundukyan, in 1959 - directing department of VGIK (workshop of S. A. Gerasimov and T. F. Makarova ).

In 1959 - 1964 he worked at the TSSDF , TsKDYuF named after M. Gorky , Mosfilm .

Since 1963 - director of the “ Armenfilm ” film studio (from 1986 to 1992 - artistic director).

In 1981 - 1997 - Head of the Department of the Department of Culture of the Yerevan Pedagogical Institute (now the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan ).

In 1966 - 1969 - the first secretary, since 1969 - secretary of the Union of Cinematographers of the Armenian SSR . Member of the Art Council of the Goskino USSR .

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1951 . In 1989 - 1991 - People's Deputy of the USSR

F.V. died Dovlatyan 30 (according to other sources 31 [3] ) August 1997 . He was buried in Yerevan at the Tokhmakh cemetery.

  • Diploma winner of the prize “For contribution to the cinema” ( Russian Film Festival “Window to Europe” , Vyborg , 1997).
  • Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1981).
