Biography
He grew up in a workers' family: his mother worked at a paper mill, and his father worked as a driver all his life. He grew up a very athletic boy: he went to the ski section, sambo section. But most of all he was fascinated by hockey, which he was engaged in in a sports special class. At the age of 14, coach Vostretsov Alexander Sergeevich showed Ulanov to his colleagues in Perm . The viewing was successful, after which Ulanov began to study in Perm (for which every day I had to travel from Krasnokamsk to the regional center). Before being drafted into the army, he played 6 games in the 1986/1987 season for the adult team Hammer (Perm). While serving in the army, he played for SKA (Sverdlovsk).
In 1990, he signed a contract with Chemist . In 1991, after a successful Chemist tour in North America, he was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets team.
Under the new year 1992, as part of the Olympic team, he went to a series of matches against the Canadian team, after which he moved to Winnipeg. The team immediately recommended it from the best side and played constantly in the main team.
After 1995, several times was exchanged between NHL clubs. In 1998 he ended up at the Montreal Canadiens .
In 2006, after a long career in the NHL, he moved to Russia, playing for Lokomotiv (Yaroslavl) (2006-2008). In the 2008/09 season, he played for Dynamo (Minsk) .
September 29, 2017 entered the coaching staff of Ugra , which was headed by Anatoly Emelin [3] .
