Kihon dosa

Kihon Dosa ( 基本 動作 Kihon do: sa , “Basic Movement”) is a set of six basic movements used in the aikido styles Yoshinkan and Rensinkai for teaching students. Based on these movements in the future, all the techniques of these aikido styles are built.

They were originally developed by Gozo Shioda with the help of Kyoichi Inoue and Takashi Kushida [1] to simultaneously train a large number of untrained people (in particular, training police and military personnel), performed at the expense of an instructor [2] .

Movements in Kihon Dosa

Kihon Dosa movements are divided into three groups.

Tai no Hanko

Tai no Hanko ( 体 の 変 更 tai no henko:, “Turning the body”) [3] - the basic movements of the kihon dos in Yoshinkan aikido , is studied in two versions:

  • Tai no Hanko Iti ( 体 の 変 更 (一) Thai no Hanko: iti , “Turning the body (1)”) - when the partner pulls.
  • Tai no Hanko Nee ( 体 の 変 更 (二) Thai no Hanko: no , “Turning the body (2)” - when the partner pushes.

The variant of Tai no Hanko ichi is Japanese.体 の 変 更 (一) is the basis for the movement of the irimi and the throw of the sokumen irimi nage. It is used to develop the movement of the hips, maintaining a stable body position and balance during the entire movement. It is important to achieve a consistent body movement with the movement of the hands and maintaining the position of the center line, moving the center of gravity.

Tai no Hanko nor - Japanese.体 の 変 更 (二) a way to redirect partner strength when pressure is applied. This movement allows you to escape from the line of attack by rotation, while maintaining balance and balance. It can be performed independently, together with a partner, with a training bokken wooden sword.

Hiriki no Yosei

Hiriki no Yosei ( Jap. 臂力 養成 養成 hiriki no yo: sei , “Development of the elbow force”) [3] :

  • Hiriki no Yosei Ichi ( Japanese 臂力 の 養成 (一) Hiriki no ё: Sei Ichi , “Development of Elbow Power (1)” [3] ) - when the partner pulls.
  • Hiriki no Yosei Ni ( Japanese 臂力 の 養成 (二) Hiriki no yo: Sei Ni , “Development of Elbow Power (2)” - when the partner pushes.

The second of the basic movements of Kihon Dos is in Yoshinkan Aikido. It is used to teach maintaining a stable body position and balance when moving body weight with a turn. Just as in Hiriki no Yosei Iti, it is important to achieve a consistent body movement with the movement of the hands and the manifestation of the strength of the central line of the ryusu tysin through these movements. Maintaining the position of the center line, moving the center of gravity.

Hiriki nosei ichi is performed when the partner pulls. Hiriki no Yosei Ni is performed when the partner applies pressure. Both exercises can be performed independently, together with a partner, with a training bokken wooden sword.

Syumatsu Dosa

Syumatsu dosa ( Japanese 終末 動作) syu: matsu do: sa , “Final Exercise”) , performed at the end of the workout:

  • Syumatsu Dosa Iti ( 終末 動作 (一) sy: Matsu do: sa iti , “Final Exercise (1)”) - when the partner pulls.
  • Syumatsu dosa Ni ( Japanese 終末 動作 (二) sy: matsu do: sa nor , “Final Exercise (2)”) - when the partner pushes.

Kihon Dosa Movement Features

When performing movements that are part of the Cihon Dosa , great attention is paid to maintaining the straight center line of the body, moving the center of gravity and coordinated movement of all parts of the body.

Movements from Kihon Dos can be performed both individually and with a partner. Also during training can be used training weapons - bokken .

Movements from Kihon Dosa can be performed either individually or collectively in a sequence called Kihon Dosa Renzoku .
