In summer and autumn, when Disco Bay is navigable, the village’s communication with the outside world is made by water using Diskoline ferries, which can be used to get from Nyakornnaarsuk to Kangaatsiak , Attu , Iginiarfika , Ikerasaarsuk and Aasiaat . In winter, when the bay is ice-bound, under the contract with the Greenland government, the village is serviced by Air Greenland ; her helicopters connect the village with Aasiaatt and Kangaatsiak.
