Mosyagin, Sergei Mikhailovich

Sergei Mikhailovich Mosyagin (December 29, 1937, p. Belorechye , Ryazan Region - November 25, 2011 , Moscow ) - Soviet football coach. Honored Coach of the USSR (1977), Honored Coach of the RSFSR (1979). The younger brother of Anatoly Mosyagin , a hockey player.

Biography

He began to play in 1952 in Podolsk as a youth team, performed at the championship of the Moscow region. He played for Dynamo 2 in KFK tournaments. After being drafted into the army, he played in the club team MVO (1956-58), played for the national team of the Taman Division.

As a student at the SCOLIFK, he played for SKIF (Moscow) in the student championship (1959-62). Twice invited to the teams of the major league - in 1962 in the double Dynamo and in 1963 - Neftchi (Baku). Mosyagin refused in both cases, motivating his decision with a desire to finish his studies and become a coach. Revealing as a football player was prevented by knee injuries.

In 1963 he switched to coaching, in the “Banner of Labor” (Orekhovo-3uevo). In 1967-70 - senior coach of the youth team of the RSFSR, was responsible for two teams - “Youth of Russia” and “Schoolchildren of Russia”.

In 1971-73 (until July) - Zenit head coach (Izhevsk), with him the team claimed to enter the 1st league. In 1973 (from August) - coach of the Football Department of the USSR Sports Committee, in 1974-75 (until August) he helped Valentin Nikolaev in the USSR youth team.

In 1975 (from September) -78, 1981-82, 1984-85 - head coach of the youthful and junior national teams of the USSR.

In 1980 - head coach of Pakhtakor from Tashkent .

The coach of the USSR national team - 1979, 1983, 1986 (from May) -90 (to June). Coach of the national team and head coach of the Olympic and youth teams of the UAE - 1990 (from October) - 1992 (to September).

The head of the department of national teams of Russia RFU - 1993-? Trained children's teams [2] .

He died on November 25, 2011 [3] [4] . The funeral service was held on November 28 in the morgue of Moscow Clinical Hospital No. 12 . On the same day, Mosyagin was buried in the Kotlyakovsky cemetery [5] .

Achievements

Under the leadership of Mosyagin, the USSR national team became the winner of the Junior World Cup-77, the UEFA youth tournament 1976, and the 3rd prize-winner of this tournament 1977.

With the participation of Mosyagin, the USSR national team was the 2nd medalist of the Che-88.
