Biography
Wolfsheim first achieved success in 1991 after the release of the single “The Sparrows And The Nightingales”. In 1998, Joachim Witt and Peter Heppner recorded the track Die Flut, which marked the beginning of Peter’s successful solo career. Together with Schiller , " Dream Of You " ( 2001 ) (which received many musical awards, including the German Echo) and "Leben ... I Feel You" ( 2003 ) were recorded. Collaboration with Schiller opened Heppner's voice to a wide audience unfamiliar with Wolfsheim's work.
In 2004, the song Wir Sind Wir was recorded with Paul van Dyke. This work caused a mixed reaction among the public and accusations of nationalism began to come to the address of the musicians. Despite this, Wir Sind Wir entered the Top 10 of the German charts, and in 2005 it was performed in honor of the 15th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the unification of Germany (together with the Babelsberg Radio and Television Orchestra).
Also in December 2004, Heppner participated in the recording of the single “Aus Gold” (as a guest vocalist with Milu and Kim Sanders ). His next collaboration was the composition “Vielleicht?” ( 2005 ), created in collaboration with Jose Alvarez.
According to Marcus Reinhardt, Heppner’s solo activities competed with Wolfsheim, which is why Reinhardt sues him and Heppner ceases to be a member of the group. At the moment, Peter Heppner is performing solo.
On September 28, 2018, six years after the release of the second album My Heart Of Stone (2012), the third solo album Confessions & Doubts was released on Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH. The album is accompanied by a second disc "TanzZwang" with dance remixes. In addition, "Confessions & Doubts" is published as a Limited FanBox, which contains 4CD: "Confessions & Doubts", "TanzZwang", "Confessions & Doubts (Instrumentals) and bonus CD, which presents the original tracks from the disc" TanzZwang ".
