Lomenzo james

James "JLo" Lomenzo (born January 13, 1959 ) is an American bass player who has played in many well-known metal and hard rock bands.

First groups

In the late 70s, James was the bassist and vocalist of the Brooklyn rock band with elements of jazz "Empty Sky", which included Robert Litter ( solo guitar ), Julie Pontecorvo ( trumpet ), Marco Lagana ( trombone ), Frank Bonanno ( saxophone ), Oscar Oliver ( drums ), Vincent Chirico ( rhythm guitar ) and John Bukkellato ( synthesizer ). Despite his youth, the group quickly became famous, but soon broke up, and all its members started other projects.

After that, Lomenzo played bass in the Clockwork hard rock band from 1980 to 1983 . Then he ended up in a group of Bobby Rondinelli until he moved to White Lion in 1984 , where he played until 1991 .

Later he participated in the side project of Zack Wild Pride & Glory , in which he recorded the 1994 self-titled album. Despite leaving the band during the tour, he helped record 1996 of Wild's solo album Book of Shadows .

James participated in the recording of Ozzy Osbourne's 1994 album , but the recordings with his participation were not used, and the following year Osborn picked other musicians to re-record.

In 1995, Lomenzo, along with Pride & Glory drummer Brian Tichi, joined Slash's Snakepit as session musicians for the duration of the concert tour.

He was also a member of the David Lee Roth band in the late 1990s - early 2000s and recorded, consisting of the album Diamond Dave .

In 2004, Zach Wild took him to his Black Label Society , where Lomenzo stayed until October 2005 , until he was replaced by their regular bassist John de Servio .

James is also a member of the Hideous Sun Demons.

In 2010, he replaced the dead bassist Paul Gray in the Hail! ( Tim Owens , Paul Bostaf , Andreas Kisser , James Lomenzo ). The tour took place around the world.

Megadeth (2006—2010)

On February 10, 2006, James Lomenzo officially became the bassist for the American thrash metal band Megadeth . The group with him as part of released two studio albums: United Abominations and Endgame . in January 2010, Lomenzo leaves the band and on February 8, 2010 in Megadeth, bass player David Ellefson returns to replace Lomenzo.
