Career
Peter Lynes qualified for the first time in the main tournament of the World Cup in 1998 , while making an impressive break - 141 points. True, in the first round he lost to John Parrott , 4:10. And his best performances in rating tournaments are the quarterfinals of China International 1999 (where he beat John Higgins (5: 1) and Peter Ebdon (5: 4) before losing to Brian Morgan , 4: 5 [1] ) and the 2009 British Championship years .
Lines’s 2011 highest break is considered to be the 2011 break (145 points), however, he has a maximum break in the PIOS series (tour 6, 2005/06 season) [2] .
2009/2010 season
At the prestigious UK Championships, Lynes was considered one of the outsiders, but unexpectedly made it to the quarter-finals. Being on the 64th place of the official rating , the 40-year-old Lains went through 3 qualifying rounds, won 1/9 finals 9: 3 with Marco Fu , then 9: 8 in 1/8 finals with Mark Williams and reached the quarterfinals for Steven Maguire , who and lost with a score of 5: 9.
