Kay was an original member of the prog rock band Yes from 1968 to 1971 , then again from 1983 to 1995 . Between his two visits to Yes, he managed to play in the groups Flash , Badger , Detective and join the pop rock band Badfinger to record their last album in 1981. He currently plays in the band Circa , which he founded with two former Yes musicians - Billy Sherwood and Alan White .
