Torikkala, now the Malinovka tract of the Vyborg district of the Leningrad Region ), 2 / 24 KKAP in Kuuluvainen (fin. Kuuluvainen, northwestern part of Lake Tervayarvi (fin. Rakkola, now the Karpovka tract of the Vyborg district of the Leningrad region ), later (06/26/1941) moving to the Myllynen district southeast of ur. Tervayarvi. closer to the bridge over the lake.

On the night of 06/29/1941 on 06/30/1941 the enemy made an unsuccessful attempt to advance along the line of 123 SD - to the settlements of Usitimperi, Vanhatimperi (near Lake Lappajärvi ), as well as Hyäsälä (Fin. Häsälä, now the tract Bulanovka of the Vyborg District of the Leningrad Region ). 06/30/1941 24 corps artillery regiment launched a fire attack on the concentration of enemy troops and road junctions on the Soviet-Finnish border, as well as on the station Simola (Fin. "Our infantry, due to the lack of discipline and cowardice of the company commander, without accepting the battle, went to the PNP 1/24 KKAP line. Lieutenant KIRILOV with several scouts staunchly repelled the attacks of the Finns surrounding them until the retreating company arrived at the battlefield. The enemy went abroad.", P. 10 combat report magazine 24 KKAP [1]

During July and until August 20, 1941, 24 KKAP confronted enemy artillery, successfully suppressing batteries firing at advanced sections of 123 SD

"... it was established that the enemy in front of the 255th infantry fighting front has up to a division of infantry units, up to 2 tank battalions and small artillery that does not exceed ours in quantitative terms and is significantly worse in quality. Of the total number of shells fired by enemy artillery, approximately 60% are not torn. There were cases when only three of the 11 shells fired, and of the 22 shells fired by O.P. 323 a.p., only 2 shells exploded. ", p. 16 of the 24 KKAP combat reports [ one]

Repola, between the modern lakes Maloe Krasnokholmskoe and Smirnovskoe) , thus creating a threat of encirclement of 123 s.d.
