History

Green syndicalism is a combination of ideas and methods of anarcho-syndicalism and ecoanarchism or eco-socialism , but it is not specifically anarchist or Marxist (meanwhile, this term is also used by authors combining anarchism and syndicalism like Graham Purcheize and Jeff Shantz).

Methods of green syndicalism include the syndicalist struggle in unions , as well as direct action and the democratic struggle in the workplace (the most prominent advocate of green syndicalism is the IRM ). Proponents of this trend can work closely with the green movement, alter globalization organizations, and fair trade groups. Moreover, his supporters, as a rule, do not accept the political goals of such allied movements.

It will be more accurate to define green syndicalism as a derivative of the professional labor movement , especially related to crafts and crafts - for example, advocating the preservation of wooden shipbuilding or traditional cattle breeding methods.

It is sometimes believed that ecosyndicalists are related to primitivists ( Back-to-the-land movement ), servicemen (survivalism), hippies , or religious and ethical trends like Mennonism in the Amish version rejecting modern technology . However, eco-syndicalists are actually ready to learn new technologies and collaborate with other similar groups around the world.
