Biography

Father - the legendary parachutist and test pilot Yakov Moiseevich Solodovnik (1915-1986) [1] , who made the first high-altitude parachute jump from the stratosphere in September 1939.

She graduated from the M. Torez Institute of Foreign Languages . She studied at the translation workshop of Lilianna Lungina .

Family

  • Husband (since 1966) - mathematician Leonid Romanovich Volevich . Sons - Vladimir (1967) and Mikhail (1974).
  • Aunt (father's sister) - Rosaliya Moiseevna Solodovnik , translator of fiction (her granddaughter is journalist Masha Gessen ) [2] [3] . Cousin - Elena Samuilovna Minkina (1942-1992), translator and literary critic, an employee of the editorial office of the journal "Contemporary Fiction Abroad."
  • Stepfather - Shaya Moiseevich Kruman (1916-1993), executive editor of the front-line information department of the "Latest News", an employee of the radio committee.

Recognition
