Content
Geography
The territory of the rural settlement is located in the south-eastern part of the Novgorod region on the Valdai Upland , north of the city of Valdai , on the territory of the Valdai National Park . The territory of the municipality extends to the western shore of the Dinner Lake and the northern Valdai Lake , on the territory of the settlement there are a number of smaller lakes - Neretskoye, Belyanok, etc., a tourism and recreation zone - there are specialized recreation centers in the settlement.
History
Roshchinsky rural settlement was established in accordance with the law of the Novgorod region of November 11, 2005 No. 559-OZ [3] .
At the end of 2008, the Council of Deputies of the rural settlement announced self-dissolution [4] , on April 26, 2009, early elections of deputies of the Roshchinsky settlement of the second convocation were called [5] . The elections were held - 326 people took part in them (39.18% of the number of voters) [6] , 8 out of 10 elected to the Council of Deputies of the Roshchinsky rural settlement were nominated by the Valdai branch of the United Russia party [7] .
