Story
The postman Tasia Korycheva, who lived lonely and dreary in a small village, helps a passing traveler receive a much-needed money transfer. A geologist who is grateful for the help (he carries samples of drilled rocks and must pay the workers and the boatman) warmly parted with the girl, promising to send a letter soon. For a moment it seems to her that this is the very person whom she had been waiting for a meeting with all her life.
