Robert Zinovievich Svyatopolk-Mirsky ( Belorussian. Robert Zinoevich Svyatapolk-Mirski ; born in 1939) is a Belarusian writer and screenwriter, actor.

Biography
Born on April 29, 1939 in Kharkov . He spent his childhood and adolescence in Rivne, where he graduated from high school and a theater studio.
From 1958 to 1963 he was an actor of Kamenetz-Podolsky, and then Brest Drama Theater.
From 1963 to 1968 he studied the theory of cinema, film criticism and film drama at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK).
After graduation and until the end of the 80s, he actively worked creatively as a film playwright. He wrote about forty original scripts for feature films, about a dozen for documentaries, several novels and theatrical plays.
The films “Alarms of an Autumn Day”, “A Good Half of Life ” (Armenian Film Studio, 1976, State Prize of Armenia for the best feature film), “ Great Adventure ” (“Belarusfilm”, 1984), “ Bread, Gold, Nagan ”(Gorky Film Studio, 1980),“ Boys Played the War ”(Belarusfilm, 1982).
He shot the journalistic television films "Dense Atmospheres" and "Post scriptum" (both 1989) according to his own scripts.
Games have always been his biggest hobby, and in 1989-1993, at the suggestion of the Moscow bureau of the cinema joint Soviet-American venture Ask (American-Soviet Cinema Initiative), he headed the branch of this venture in Brest - Ask Game. Here board games were developed and produced, most of which were authored by R. Z. Mirsky himself. It was there that his famous board game Conversion came out, which became a bestseller for several years. In the same years, he created and published in Brest the first literary and artistic magazine of games and entertainment "Domovoi" in the former USSR, which was very successful (1991-1993), but the collapse of the Soviet Union and the financial crisis interrupted this activity.
Resisting circumstances, RZ Mirsky carried out a number of different projects (for example, the TV game "1000 Questions") in his creative and production company Union (1993-1996), without stopping all these years of creative activity.
Fluent in Polish, he simultaneously translated Polish films at international Moscow film festivals back in the 60-70s, and in the 80s and 90s, thanks to the exclusive permission of the author, he translated into Russian six novels by the outstanding Polish writer Maciej Slomchinsky ( Joe Alexa).
Since 1998 he lived in Poland, where he taught film and television dramaturgy at the Warsaw elite advertising school, and also directed a film studio in a private Warsaw college.
In the spring of 2003 he returned to Brest to complete several long-standing creative plans, including work on a series of historical and adventure novels “The Hand of Moscow, or the collection of land”.
