Personal Life
Daldry himself calls himself gay, but since 2001 he has been married to actress Lucy Sexton, from whom he has a child - daughter Annabel Claire (born 2003) [4] . According to him, he prefers such a term, because it is more convenient for people (“they don’t like to be confused”) [5] . In other interviews, he noted that he was married because he wanted to start a family and he needed medical insurance [6] [7] .
Earlier, from 1988 to 2001, Daldry was in a relationship with production designer Ian MacNeil [8] . They met while working on Alice in Wonderland in 1988 in Lancaster and worked together on various theater projects, including the Broadway musical Billy Elliot (2008).
