Flora of Greenland - a collection of plants distributed on the island .
Includes 575 species (606 with subspecies ), of which thirteen are endemic , eighty-seven are introduced . In the flora of Greenland, sixty-seven families are represented, each from one to several dozen species [1] .
In Greenland, flowering plants are found only in a narrow coastal strip (from one to five kilometers in the east and north to several tens in the southwest). The vegetation is mainly represented by tundra species, only in the south there are low-growing shrubs and crooked forests [2] . On the northern coast, moss - lichen sparse vegetation of arctic deserts prevails [3] .
In the tundra, several types of saxifrage ( Saxifraga ), violets ( Viola ), bedstraws ( Galium ), buttercups ( Ranunculus ), saplings ( Potamogeton ), sorrel ( Rumex ), dumplings ( Puccinellia ), fescue ( Calamarius , Calamarius ), Californian ( common ) taxis ( Pedicularis ), fireweeds ( Epilobium ), calyx ( Juncus ), ozhik ( Luzula ), sedge ( Carex ), croup ( Draba ), cat's paws ( Antennaria ). Far to the north is an arctic willow .
In the extreme south, there are dwarf and fluffy birch , mountain ash ( Sorbus groenlandica ), blueberries , crowberry , green alder ( Alnus viridis ), several species of willows [3] [4] .
