At 4.00 a border guard on the southeastern outskirts of the outpost of the outpost found gangsters who were climbing the slopes. The outpost was alarmed. Militants opened fire from mortars , mountain guns , grenade launchers and small arms. They hit a BMP and destroyed the SPG-9 machine-based grenade launcher. The head of the frontier post, senior lieutenant Mikhail Mayboroda , was wounded and several border guards were wounded and wounded.
The battle lasted more than 7 hours. When repelling the attack, Sergeant Sushchenko covered the withdrawal of a group of surviving border guards and restrained the onslaught of the enemy until he died.
