Belyanochka and Rosochka ( German: Schneeweißchen und Rosenrot ) is a German fairy tale , the most famous version of which is presented in the Grimm Brothers ' Children's and Home Tales under the number 161. [1] Also found in the “Almanac of Tales of 1827” [de] by Wilhelm Gauf .
Other translations of the name: “Snow White and Alotsvetik”, “Snow White and Krasnozorok”. According to the Aarne-Thompson index , the tale is of type 426 - “two girls, a bear and a dwarf”.
An earlier and shorter version, The Ungrateful Dwarf , was written by Carolina Stahl . In fact, this is the oldest version of the tale, because its previous oral versions are unknown, although some were collected after its publication. [2] Oral versions of this tale are known in a limited area. [3]
