Story
The "Enchantress" takes us to the time of our ancestors and opens a couple of pages from their intimate life. On the river bank, a beautiful widow lives a free life. She finds rest from everyday squabbles and is small and old. She attracts everyone with her beauty, intelligence, fun. No wonder she is known as a sorceress. And then an old prince became interested in her. Everything is forgotten: the house, the wife, and the children. But not for long! The offended mother decided to defend her rights at all costs! Her son offers help. For the honor of his mother, he will not stand before the murder of a homeowner! And now a dagger has been brought in and is ready to stick into her chest, when suddenly a hand fell! The spell of the beauty began to work, and after a few minutes he, already conquered, lay at her feet. But the mother does not doze off and, under the guise of a wanderer, penetrates her rival and poisons her. The prince who came in a rage throws himself with a dagger at his wife, but thrusts him into the chest of his son, who rushed to defend his mother. Here in short words the plot of the play, which served as the plot for the tape. Well played by artists who have reached the full ensemble, the play leaves a strong impression and will certainly be very successful [3] .
Criticism
This tragedy has long been known to us as a very interesting opera in the music of our immortal Tchaikovsky. The “Enchantress”, as a tragedy, always serves as a career role for our best artists - for tours and debuts, this tragedy was and remains indispensable, but in this tragedy T / d Khanzhonkov gave roles to the noble hands of our best artists who already managed to become famous in cinematography. This tragedy depicts the life of our boyars - father and son love the same thing. The enchantress with her charms keeps both of them in obedience, her mother kills her, and here, first of all, both the father and son cannot forgive this avenger, her act hit them hard on the nerves - in a word, there is a talent where to unfold. The performer of the title role is incomparable, the whole tape looks with great interest, and considers it necessary to note that, technically, this picture is much higher than the issues made by the wound T / d [4] .
