Content
History
Formed on January 17, 1811 as the Vitebsk inner provincial half-battalion.
In 1812 he took a limited part in the Patriotic War.
From July 14, 1816 - Vitebsk internal garrison battalion.
In 1863 he participated in the suppression of the Polish rebellion .
In 1864 he was named the Vitebsk Provincial Battalion.
August 26, 1874 was named the Vitebsk local battalion.
August 31, 1878 was reorganized into the 21st reserve personnel infantry battalion.
On March 25, 1891 it was renamed the Dinaburg Reserve Battalion.
October 21, 1892 the battalion was relocated to Penza
Since February 6, 1893 it was renamed Orovaysky in memory of the victory of the Russian troops at the village of Oravais in 1808 during the Russian-Swedish war.
From May 26, 1899 - the 213rd Orovai Reserve Battalion.
By December 26, 1903, it was reorganized into the 213th Orovaysky regiment of a two-battalion composition.
In connection with the mobilization announced on June 1, 1904, from June 11, the battalion was deployed in two wartime field regiments: the 213rd Orovai Infantry Regiment of the 54th Division of the 5th Siberian Corps and the 281st Infantry Drisk Regiment of the 71st Division who, after the show in Penza, conducted by Emperor Nicholas II (June 28, 1904) departed for the Manchurian Front.
During the Russo-Japanese War, he participated in hostilities.
March 6, 1906 again reorganized into a regiment of double battalion.
From February 20, 1910 - the 195th Orovai Infantry Regiment , at the same time two units were attached to the regiment:
- The 234th Syzran Reserve Battalion , which traces its history to the 45th Reserve Battalion formed on July 31, 1878.
- The 244th Borisov Reserve Battalion , which traces its history to the Mogilev inner provincial half-battalion formed on January 17, 1811 . .
In 1918, part of the regiment's officers formed the 27th Kamyshlov-Orovaysky Regiment of the 7th Ural Mountain Rifle Division in Yekaterinburg.

Regiment Insignia
- A simple regimental banner, granted in 1911, with the inscription "1811-1911" and the Alexander anniversary ribbon.
- Insignia (officers' breastplates, headgear at the lower ranks) with the inscription: "For excellence in the war with Japan in 1904 and 1905" in the 1st and 2nd battalions (Highest Order July 30, 1911) and in 4 -th battalion (Highest order on October 5, 1912).
- For the difference in the battle at Starosoli in October 1914, the regiment was presented for rewarding with the St. George Banner. The 3rd battalion was simultaneously presented for decoration with the distinction βFor the battle at Starosoli on October 1, 1914β [1]
