"Vagant-Moscow" (from 1989 to 1996 - "Vagant") - originally a newsletter reflecting the work of the museum of V. S. Vysotsky . From 1996 to 2003 - a popular science magazine dedicated to one person - Vladimir Semenovich Vysotsky . The magazine was registered in the State Printing Committee of the Russian Federation on November 18, 1996. Reg.№ 015416. The editor-in-chief and founder is Sergey Nestorovich Zaitsev (1946 [1] - 2009 [2] ).
169 issues of the magazine itself, 54 "Supplements to the Vagant" and 121 books of the series "Vaganta Library" were issued.
Among the authors of the books of the Vaganta Library: V. Vysotsky, O. Dahl , A. Galich , V. Shukshin , L. Yengibarov , Valery Perevozchikov, N. Matveeva , Yu. Aleshkovsky , M. Lvovsky , S. Matveenko, L. Filatov , O. Mityaev , A. Yakusheva , Tatyana Vizbor, V. Berestov , B. Zakhoder , I. Bestuzhev-Lada , E. Vesnik , G. Zhzhenov , N. Varley , E. Agranovich , Yu. Kim , A. Gorodnitsky , M. Zadornov , V. Kachan and others.
After the release of books in the Vaganta Library, several authors became members of the Writers Union . N. Matveeva was awarded the State Prize of the Russian Federation in 2002 for the poetry collection Jasmine, published by Vagant-Moscow Publishing House.
In addition to publishing activities, evenings and meetings were held dedicated to Vladimir Vysotsky, authors, and anniversaries of Vagant. Evenings were spent at the Central House of Artists , at the House of Book Lovers, at the Taganka Theater , as amended, at the Moscow bookstore .
