Mikhail Ivanovich Gasik (born June 30, 1929 , Semenovka ) is a Soviet and Ukrainian metallurgical scientist.

Academician of the Academy of Higher Education of Ukraine (1994). Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2004). Foreign member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences (2005). Honorary Member of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan (2006). Honorary Professor of the Chemical and Metallurgical Institute named after Abishev .
Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR (1977). State Prizes of Ukraine (1998, 2004).
Biography
He graduated with honors from the Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute (1949-1954) with a degree in ferrous metals metallurgy. Since 1954, he has been working at DMETI: a junior researcher, in 1958-1961, a graduate student , candidate of technical sciences (1961), assistant, in 1961-1971, an assistant professor of the department of electrometallurgy, professor of the department of electrometallurgy since 1971. Since 1973, the head of the Department of Electrometallurgy, at the same time in 1973-1986, Dean of the Electrometallurgical Department.
He was awarded the Ukrainian Order of Merit 3 degrees (2004). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine (1999). Honorary Citizen of Pologi .
