Biography

He graduated from the A. Gorky Literary Institute , worked in various positions in the theater.

For more than 40 years of creative activity, he has become a famous and respected playwright, in the last twenty years he has been the most “repertoire” author on the stage of the Buryat State Academic Drama Theater named after H. Namsaraeva.

Batomunko Purbuev became a classic of Buryat literature and art .

Awards and titles

He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945", Honored Artist of the Republic of Buryatia (1993), member of the Union of Writers of Russia (1993, Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Buryatia in the field of literature and art (2008).
