Platform Initialization Specification

Platform Initialization Specification (PI Specification) - A specification approved by the Unified EFI Forum . This specification describes the internal interfaces between the various parts of the firmware of a computer platform; this provides greater compatibility (and as a result, greater interaction) between the firmware components from different sources (from different manufacturers). This specification is a recommendation rather than a requirement, and is used in conjunction with the EFI specification.
