Operations
Colombia Airport covers an area of 144 hectares , located at an altitude of 646 meters above sea level and operates two runways [1] :
- 11/29 dimensions of 1423 x 23 meters with peat coating;
- 17/35 in size 792 x 30 meters with asphalt pavement.
Between December 31, 2000 and December 31, 2001, Columbia Airport handled 46,020 take-off and landing operations (an average of 126 operations daily), of which 96% were general aviation , 4% were air taxi flights and less than 1% - flights of military aircraft. During this period, 243 aircraft were based at the airport, of which 95% were single-engine aircraft, 2% were multi-engine aircraft, 2% were helicopters, and 1% were ultra-light vessels [1] .
